Clinical Interventions

Classically psychoanalysis aspired to make the client conscious of the unconscious by free expression or by identifying the transference relationship between the client and the therapist. While these methods may be worthwhile, the amount of time and cost necessary to achieve results presents an insurmountable obstacle.

In contrast, the Conflict Analysis directly identifies the unconscious, bypassing the complexities and subjectivity of therapists’ interpretations. The Conflict Analysis network of diagnostic tasks helps the user to recognize unconscious patterns of dealing with conflict. Upon conclusion of the battery, the feedback report organizes components of these different tasks, piecing together a composite dialectic that pinpoints the client's unique personal and interpersonal patterns. Conflict Analysis’ diagnostic inventory, the Relational Modality Evaluation Scale, findings are cross-validated with the creativity based tasks, demonstrating behavioral patterns as qualifiable and quantifiable phenomenon.

Conflict Analysis shifts the context of the therepeutic encounter towards wellness education. The client is empowered to learn about herself, taking action to grow. While the therapeutic relationship is useful, and in certain circumstances, the therapist will need to take more specific leadership, the Conflict Analysis Battery clarifies the role of the therapist, helping detect areas of focus and tools for improvement.

As an educator, the therapist delivers information about managing power . The therapist educates the person to understand the consequences of too much or too little power in the syndromal unfolding of interactions.

Didactic

Conflict Analysis provides a comprehensive introduction to how the mind works, exploring how cultural patterns follow the same patterns as individuals, as both people and societies develop habitual systems for resolving conflict and creating order. While many scholars are able to see how different cultures are alike, the Conflict Analysis Battery introduces a more abstract level of analysis, detecting the respective benefits of different cultural approaches.

Through an interactive art and narrative based training, students are able to gain access to their inner world of emotion. Rather than being pathologizing or stigmatizing, this process is wellness-based, allowing students to contextualize and optimize their behavioral patterns.
